Low Start Up Costs, Make Money Selling AVON

When considering work from home options, one thing to consider is how much money do you have to invest in your at home business. A business not only requires inventory, but marketing, licensing, and a website.
A great affordable option to starting your own business is the direct sales model.
In most cases, you don't have to carry large amounts of inventory, and a website and marketing materials are provided!
I chose to run my own AVON business for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons is the low investment required.

AVON offers three start up kits, that get you instant access to samples, catalogs, and full size products for you to try.
KIT #1 - $25
This kit is super affordable and gets you samples and catalogs to instantly start getting orders.
This kit is valued at over $80, so AVON is definitely generous in hooking up their new reps.
**Keep in mind that you can earn an instant rebate when you place your first $150 order within the week. (I'll dive more in to that shortly.)
KIT #2 - $50

This awesome kit is valued at over $190!! AVON will send you a mix of full size products, samples, and catalogs.
I highly suggest using the products they send, so you can become a true fan of the products and know what to recommend to your customers. They will appreciate when you can offer personal insight in to the products.
** I got $25 back when I placed my first $150 order my first week. That means I only spent $25 for $190 worth of product... Crazy, right?!
KIT #3 - $100
This is the mega kit. Over $400 worth of product and samples is waiting for you.
** Again, you get money back when you place your first $150 order in your first week.
Once you get signed up, AVON's warehouse team get right to work packing it up and getting it shipped right out to you. I got my kit within just a few days.

I'll get more in to sales training, but for now, I want to give you the breakdown of what you can expect to earn with your AVON business.
As a new consultant, you have major opportunities to get your business rolling and get large commissions.
With AVON's Kickstart Program, you will earn 40% commission on your first seven campaigns, when you hit your very achievable sales goals!!

Starting Campaign 8, you will earn 20-50% commission based on hitting the below sales goals.
The more you sell, the more you earn. AVON is extremely generous with top performers!
>$0-49.99 = 0% commission
>$50-149.99 = 20% commission
>$150-294.99= 30% commission
>$295-439.99= 35% commission
>$440-924.99= 40% commission
>$925-1,574.99= 45% commission
>$1,575+ = 50% commission
When you start your own AVON business, you can customize your own AVON store, that is there for you to collect orders at no extra charge to you. That's a pretty amazing incentive, as other direct sales companies I have been a part of have charged additional fees for a personal website.
The great thing about your online store sales, is that the only work you had to do was direct customers to your website. AVON takes care of the rest, from collecting credit card information to shipping!

Face to face catalog sales are still the bread and butter of most AVON agents.
Your customers can look forward to a new catalog campaign every two weeks.
(But don't worry.. Your customers can order from at least 2 campaigns back if they get their hands on an old catalog.)
Again, being generous to their agents, AVON will send you catalogs with every order.
But it is up to you to order additional catalogs to grow your customer base. (Order 100 for around $25!)
This is where you get to take the reigns as a business owner and invest in the marketing tools necessary to get your name out there and the orders coming in.
When I am delivering catalogs to new homes in my neighborhood, I include a little print out about myself.
I also include a sticker on each to catalog, that invites each home to become my customer.
I don't want to continue dropping catalogs to people who are not interested.

Conservatively, you should plan to spend at least $100 per month on your marketing efforts.
This would include ordering catalogs, samples, and About Me handouts.
Try both face to face marketing such as catalog tossing and online marketing to figure out which works best for you.
There are other ways to earn additional income, including bonuses and incentives through AVON.
Recruiting a team of AVON reps is a great way to maximize your presence and grow your sales, as well as mentoring other women to achieve their goals!
